Bing Visual Search

Looking for a visual way to search online? You need to try Bing visual search. Search entertainment, famous people, online media, reference, shopping, sports and travel visually. The top five searches are movies in theaters, digital cameras, travel destinations, top songs and top albums.

The only drawback is that it requires you download the plug-in SilverLight. This plug-in was created by Microsoft to essentially compete with Flash as an interactive way to display content online.

Draft For Texts

I recently heard transcripts of text messages that Tiger Woods was sending during his recent exploits. As noted a few weeks ago, there is now an app called Tiger Text that allows a sender of text to remove messages from their recipient. I starting thinking, “Shouldn’t there by a draft system for texts just like email?” In any email box, you have the ability to save a message in your draft box so you can return to it later. This draft feature could be a lifesaver for users who type messages to quickly before they send them. Draft for texts on the next iPhone release!

Browse Social Bookmarks

Delicious, the social bookmarking website, has launched a new feature that enables you to easily browse through public bookmarks. The way bookmarks traditionally worked was a user would save a favorite website on their browser for easy return. Delicious created a website letting you save your bookmark not in your browser, but on page for the world to see. View these public bookmarks by simply flipping through them on your screen which saves you clicking on a link to open a separate window. Try out this feature and let us know what you think.

Kindle Changes Perception

During an interview on the Tyra Banks show, Hallie Berry said that her recent technology obsession is the Kindle. She has been voraciously reading two to three books a week on the revolutionary electronic reading device. She said in the past, the sheer size of a book would discourage her from completing it. Now reading on the Kindle is easy because Berry can just keep reading without dismay. The sheer size of book is no longer cumbersome which reinforces sustainable reading habits.

Facebook becomes most popular U.S. Web site

I just saw from SmartBrief that “Facebook overtook Google as the U.S.’s most popular Web site last week, according to a report by Hitwise. Checking Facebook accounted for more than 7% of all Web visits, the report found. A recent swath of surveys further underscores the platform’s importance for social marketers. Studies show that the average American spends 7 hours a month on the site and that 44% of all social sharing takes place on the platform.”

This is totally amazing!

Your New Browser Start Page?

Take a look at this, it’s kind of a cool concept. T-Mobile had the ad campaign of the Fav5; the concept of setting up speed dial for 5 people you call frequently and then your minute charges are waved. Now a website offers you a similar concept by letting you pick four of favorite websites from a list for easy access.

How to use this site:
1. Pick your favorite four websites from a list
2. Set this site as your browser’s start page
3. Enjoy using Fav4!
