Bye, Bye Dial-up…

“I feel like I’m on dial-up,” is an expression that many readers many not truly understand anymore. According to a recent e-marketer report, 20% of the U.S. are using dial-up to connect to the Internet. However now with satellite, you can get high-speed web access that reaches all of those remote areas where cable and DSL couldn’t reach in the past. Also, the cost gap between high speed and dial-up is closing. Hughesnet and NetZero have recently been advertising $9.99 a month for high-speed access.
How fast it is dial-up service shrinking? Who is still on dial-up?
