App of the Week – Kindle

26 Jul

How do you read new books? Do you prefer a physical copy or have you switched to digital? read anytime, anywhere on your phone, tablet, or computer with Kindle. The app allows you to choose from any book released on Amazon’s catalog and you can take it anywhere. I have been fan Kindle for many years and it’s nice to be able to look up your collection from your computer rather than search a bookshelf.

App of the Week – Stitcher

12 Jul

How do you listen to podcasts? I recently discovered a cool way to listen to podcasts on your iPhone, iPad, Android, PC, and smart-speaker called Stitcher. Not only is Stitcher a podcast app, but it’s also a podcast network. The app doesn’t have the most extensive feature set or settings for playing podcast episodes, but it does a good job allowing you to listen to any podcast you desire.

Free Podcast Tool

10 Jun

Are you looking to start your own podcast? Have you tried Zencastr? It’s an easy way to record your VoIP podcast interviews in studio quality. It can record two people talking and separates them into different channels. Then you can download them and edit them for your episode. The audio quality is strong and the best part it’s free. The one downfall with the app, it does not work on a mobile phone. Both parties need to be connected to a computer.

App of the Week – Robinhood

7 Jun

Are you into investing? Have you heard of the Robinhood app? It’s a commission-free investing service. Invest in stocks, cryptocurrency, and EFTs. My swears by it. It’s free to set up an account, and there’s no fee to execute trades. Robinhood charges a monthly fee for its margin-lending service, Robinhood Gold. And if you want to move your account from Robinhood to another broker, you must pay $75.

Do you remember Vine? It was a seven-second video-sharing platform that shut down in 2017. Now the same creator of Vine brings you Byte which lets you create, upload, and share six-second videos. It’s a worthy competitor to TikTok, an app adored by Generation Z and behind some of the internet’s most viral memes
