PicorTwo: Social Network Photo Sharing

I found this interesting social media concept by Seal and Heidi Klum called Pic or Two. It’s a celebrity twit pic site. They only have a few celebs signed up but it’s a good concept. The idea reminds me of Celebrity Apprentice but with pictures.

VYou: Social Video Style

VYou lets you have a conversation through video. I saw this the other day and I thought it made complete sense. However, the first time I saw the technology it reminded me of a dating site.

Most of us have a smart phone with video capability, so why not setup a virtual you? Virtually answer questions and hold conversations while you are out. Then if you have the time, you can setup live video chats. VYou is conversation in video clips. Is this the next social wave?

Lytro: New Camera Technology

The technology of taking a picture hasn’t theoretically changed in over 100 years until now. Lytro has reinvented the camera with the light field capturing method. The site says, “Lytro camera captures the entire light field, which is all the light traveling in every direction in every point in space.” You will never take a bad picture again (unless your eyes are closed). You never have to focus.

A light field is the amount of light traveling in every direction through every point in space. Conventional cameras cannot record the light field. Lytro camera processes the light so you can always have beautiful pictures.

One consumer testing the camera said, “The shots are about timing and the ability to refocus after the picture is taken. I don’t need to worry about adjusting focus, I could focus just on the timing.”

Bookmark Apps in App Store?

Dear Apple,
Please add the availability to bookmark apps in the app store. When surfing through the app store you can send yourself the link but you can’t bookmark it. The ability to create a wishlist of apps you’d like to purchase would be helpful. I would imagine it would also increase sales.
Thank you,
Marc

Find A Grave

Where is your loved one buried? Where is your favorite celebrity’s monument? Recently I was searching for funeral information and I stumbled upon a website that keeps track of where graves are located. Yes, I realize Find A Grave is quite morbid, however the site serves as a useful tool and way to pay tribute. For example, here is Steve Jobs burial location.
