I recently had the pleasure to dine at Michael Simon's restaurant Lola. The experience, service and food were top notch. However the one thing that made me do a double take was their use of technology.

Michael Simons restaurant Lola uses the iPad for their wine list. You first select the type of wine and then you drill down to what they have in-house. You can't surf the internet or take a picture. The iPad is locked down so it is only used as a menu. The iPad wine list sure beats the printed out version because it keeps current every time it is docked.

Technology is only as strong as the people who that constantly push its creative envelope. How can you make technology work for you or your business?

I recently read in a Forbe's Article that 3-D phones will get better, but most people can'st stand looking at something in 3-D for long periods of time. Is this effect just something that we will just get used to? Is 3-D just a fad or is it really something that all of us will just have to embrace as the next wave of technology hits the world. For me personally, 3-D was always like a special treat that I looked forward to like going on a rollercoaster.

I recently discovered Newsy and I am enjoying watching their daily news analysis from my iPhone. Newsy was recently called the “Future of Mobile News” by the Huffington Post because it's that good!

Newsy digests the news for you. Their reporters take the latest news and narrow it down to what matters with their unique analysis. Watch news about world, U.S. politics, business, tech, entertainment, science fiction and sports.

Are you planning a conference and looking for a quick, easy way to connect to your audience? I attended an event last week and discovered Event2mobile. The offer a platform for event managers and organizers to give access to events through mobile devices. With their software, you can create a custom mobile website including conference room layouts and event details. I went through their demo, but I didn””t get a price quote. iPhone, Android, Blackberry and WAP platforms offered.
