You can not only create your own but your can pick from popular ones. The site shows the story for 20 seconds and then scrolls up to the top saying its a joke.

Some popular fake story topics range from politics to sports. For example, “Trump drops out of race” or “Tom Brady traded to 49ers”. If you want to spread some Tom Foolery on Facebook with some fake news, then check out this site!

Are you an iReporter?

CNN has got into the “i” game by introducing the “iReport”. This feature is part of their website where people take part in the news with CNN. You become an official reporter for CNN and your stories are screened before they post. Essentially the section of the site is being an official blogger for CNN. Only posts marked ‘CNN iReport’ have been vetted by CNN.

Patch – New Local News Source

I was clicking through my LinkedIn updates and I saw a connection recently became a manager of Patch.com. I was pleasantly surprised that my community was represented and instantly clicked to read more. Currently the website features news from the following states: California, Connecticut District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.

The site says, “Patch is a new way to find out about, and participate in, what’s going on near you. Patch is run by professional editors, writers, photographers and videographers who live in or near the communities we serve.” Patch is an online community newspaper written by locals. The site features local news, events, places, markets, house and general Q&A.
