Crackle, Keeping It Real…

24 Jun

Are you an avid boob tube watcher? The writer’s strike last year lasted long enough to allow most shows to create 4 episodes and call it a season. This left many fans wanting more. The other night I heard Dennis Leary mention on Letterman to login to Crackle to see new mini-episodes of Rescue Me. After I did, I was truly amazed to find a great variety of original content ranging from comedy, music, horror, animation and reality.

Penn Jillette from Penn and Teller fame has his own weekly commentary show. Brad Garrett, the big goofy brother from Everybody Loves Raymond, has his own dating reality show. They also have classic TV shows like Silver Spoons starring Ricky Schroder in their arsenal of entertainment. However, the twist on the classic episodes is they’ve shortened them from 30 minutes to 4 minutes for us quick-minded Internet folk. It’s strange to watch Facts of Life in a flash, but I kind of liked it.

So if you are looking for a new way to unwind, check out the fresh short films, movies and TV online at Crackle. Sony owns the network, so you know new content will continue to stream in.
