Family Watch Dog: Scan Your Area
Last week I caught a segment of Comedy Central’s broadcast of Dane Cook’s “Live from Madison Square Garden” special. During the performance, Mr. Cook discusses his obsession with Oprah and in particular mentions one episode where Oprah brings in an expert on sexual predators. The name of the group is Family Watch dog and their goal is to show you where registered offenders and predators live in your area. Dane says, “Don’t do this at home, it will scare you.” He exclaims that his map began to populate with thousands of dots.
Their website says, “To locate registered sex offenders in your area, you’ll just have to enter an address and they’ll show a map and photos(where available), addresses, convictions and other information about the offender. Family Watchdog can alert you when a registered sexual predator moves within five miles of any given address that you provided.”
