Red Box, Too Easy?

29 Jul

Have you seen the $1 DVD vending machines popping up at your local grocery stores and gas stations? The company behind these vending machine movie rentals is Red Box. Netflix and Blockbuster stress that their process is easy because you never need to leave your home, but if you are already out, why not use one of these machines?

If anyone could walk up and rent any one of these movies, should parents be concerned their kids could rent rated R movies? Parents if you are strict about what your kids watch, take note that these machine have no age restrictions. Yes, a debit or credit card is needed to rent, but that’s not much to restrict access. Should there be any concern of these machines?
