Squidoo, Summary Pages For Real Life
Squidoo site says, “We are a popular publishing platform and community that makes it easy for you to create “lenses” online. Lenses are pages, kind of like flyers or signposts or overview articles, that gather everything you know about your topic of interest–and snap it all into focus.” Basically Squidoo lets you create your own translations about topics that you’re passionate, understand and want to share with the world your knowledge. Seth Godin, the founder and idea man behind the site, has created a user-friendly interface that walks you through creating your pages.
In a matter of moments, I had created three pages based on a favorite topic. I then created links to related products on Amazon and eBay. I pulled in content from WikiPedia. Basically I created a hub for information a particular concept. The idea is to create traffic to your page and then get royalties on your content.
If you are not into creating content, then just explore topics on book, travel, business, medicine, politics, food, movies, tv, music, arts, parenting, shopping, nature, how tos and much more. As you can see from the multitude of topics, the website lets you speak your mind or read to hearts content and make money.
