As your day begins to grind, you realize that you’re more than likely going to bring home that document you’ve been working on all day. Traditionally, if you are like me, you’ll email yourself the document or use an online collaboration tool like PBWiki to get the job done. Now you have another choice to just do it, and it comes in the form of Offisync. This free program is an add-on to your Microsoft Office applications so you can save, open, collaborate and email all your documents to a web-based Google Docs account.

Here are the specifications from the Offisync site:

Save and access Microsoft docs online in Google Docs from any computer

Access files from any computer with or without MS Office.

Manage, create and delete Google docs folders in Office apps.

Add collaborators as you save your file in Google Docs.

Open any Google Docs file direc from MS Office apps.

Move or copy files between Google Docs folders.

Manage your Google Docs file library

Add collaborators and manage their permissions.

Changes applied instantly to each version of Google Docs

Search any document based on its content

Switch between multiple accounts

I was watching the morning crew on WKYC today and they encouraged the viewing audience to chat with them online. I logged on to the Channel 3 website, but I was more impressed with the opportunity to watch them live on the web through Mogulus.

Mogulus is watching live broadcast TV online. The website is in “beta”, but I was truly surprised that it’s teeming with a multitude of channels from around the world. After checking out WKYC for a second, I watched the Italian version of Big Brother, a U2 music channel and a Green Day concert. I also stumbled upon a swim meet from Iowa. I was also surprised you could also setup your own Mogulus channel and start webcasting live today.

WATCH

Live, 24/7 On-Demand Video

Many Pre-recorded shows too

Multiple Channels of Music, Sports, News and More

Chat with others watching the show

BROADCAST

Live in a single player

100,000+ live viewers can watch at once

Embed on your website aka WKYC

Multiple camera shots

Get lost on all the “Live” broadcasts on Mogulus.

I learned the hard way a few years ago about sending emails in the heat of the moment. Before I send out a big email, I generally save it in my draft box, let it simmer, and send it out later. This method of saving for later led to many drafts in my inbox, but it has made me certainly craft better emails. Now Google has created Mail Goggles to prevent you from sending that message you shouldn’t send.

Inside your Gmail “Setup”, under the “Labs” tab you will see the option to enable this feature. You have the opportunity to define what time of the day you want Google to ask if you if you really want to send this email.

http://www.gmail.com

By the way, if you don’t have a Gmail account, you are missing out on one of the best free products on the market. I would highly recommend signing-up for a Gmail account; you will never go back to your old email system.

The best part is that it’s free.

What do you do when you call?

Say Your Location

Say What You’re Looking For “I.E. Tacos”

If you want just information, you can say “text” and the service will send the text to your phone. In this mode it will even send you a map of your location.

Try it, you’ll like it.
