What is Freebooting?

3 May

What is freebooting? Why does it matter? How can you do your part to stop it? The definition of freebooting is the act of downloading a form of media that someone else made and uploading it as their own. Another way to put it, it’s a process of stealing someone else’s creative content on a social media platform like YouTube, and passing it off as your own on another like Facebook. You basically cut of the branding or edit a video to make it your own. Check out this YouTube video by Brad Burke of SwankyBox that explains the impact of freebooting. What do you think about it?

Veevr Video Sharing Website

8 May

Are you looking for an alternative to YouTube and Vimeo? Then you need to check out Veevr.com. The website states, “This video sharing website is a revolutionary online video publishing platform that gives users the power to easily discover, watch, and personalize their entertainment viewing experience.”

In my opinion, I did not see anything that was unique on Veevr compared to their competitors. However, I personally like alternatives and I think this website delivers comprehensible content.
